Borough Market Escapades

Dear lovely readers,

After nearly two months of adventures from around the world, Hector & Penelope are reunited in true style. Morning brunch consisting of poached eggs, and then perusing the delectable Borough Market – surrounded by an abundance of free samples of cheeses, breads and brownies. How very us!

Borough market is of course a foodies heaven, and with some friends from around the world in tow, we set off to browse the best of the best and see what treats would be the most enticing from the hundreds of stalls.

The Free From Bakehouse ensures gluten free visitors don’t miss out on all of the fun, and a cheeky purchase of peanut butter and white chocolate blondes was a delicious treat!

… they even had some hot ginger boys!

With so much to see, it’s hard to know where to look, distractions are everywhere! Our Cider connoisseur sampled some unfortunately disappointing local produce, but our Aussie found herself some top quality meat from an Italian Stalion!

Of course it was most fitting to toast to the good weather and the return of Penelope.. Before heading back for more cheese. And meat. And cake. And fudge…

After hours of wandering and spotting countless weird and wonderful things along the way we were most exhausted, so how else would we conclude this British affair but with a jug of Pimms overlooking the Thames. DSC01910

Until we meet again…

With Kindest Regards,

Hector & Penelope xoxo
